"1. What do you propose to do? [20 words]
Create an easy way to geotag and share content that is already on Internet.
2. Is anyone doing something like this now and how is your project different? [30 words]

Meipi.org, the already existing platform, is being used by communities, advocacy groups, journalists, artistic collectives and urban planners to geotag information around a topic and a specific region. 4. Why will it work? [100 words]
Meipi has been tested as a useful tool with more than 1,000 maps created and 4,000+ registered users. Meip-it will add a ‘meipi it’ button to the Internet, creating a geotagged layer of information to all the pieces of the media ecosystem (videos, news, blog posts).Different kinds of mashups and aggregators seem to be the way users are choosing to curate and redistribute content that is already on the web (storify, pinterest, tumblr). Meip-it will enable curation and spatial storytelling.
5. Who is working on it? [100 words]

Users can install plugins to add special features to their maps. -The open source software ready to install in a self hosting server: Meipi Open.-The community of users that uses both the cloud app and the open source software as a tool in their campaigns, workshops and projects.Meip-it will be built on the existing Meipi software.
7. How would you sustain the project after the funding expires? [50 words]
The funds will enable the creation of an open standard to share existing content on maps, so that other developers can use it for their own projects, and extend its uses. In the future, Meip-it will keep working with an expanded volunteer ecosystem, providing services like software customization, and benefiting with community donations.
